Completing our online application will aid us in finding the right home for each doggie as they become available. If you would like to complete an online pre-adoption application click HERE. Simply complete the application, save it to a folder on your computer and send it to aussierescue@cox.net

Due to the rising veterinarian costs of treatment, medications and spay/neuter surgeries, our adoption donation fee is $225. All doggies will be spayed and/or neutered before going to their homes, with exceptions due to age or treatments preventing surgeries. In these situations each adoption will include a spay/neuter contract expected to be honored by a stated date and will include a set amount reimbursement upon receiving a veterinarian signed certificate of proof.

COPPER

ADOPTED!!!

Copper is a Red Merle Aussie, approximately 4 years old. He is 62 lbs., neutered and up-to-date on all shots (Vet records can be provided). Copper is good with people, including children and gets along great with nearly every dog he meets! He likes to chase cats, but doesn't hurt them. Copper is very energetic, smart and gets bored easily. He can find and get to ANY food left out. He is also very excitable and tends to bark at pretty much anything, including air molecules :-) Copper will sometimes jump on people, but will give you kisses if you are at his level.

Although I hate the thought of re-homing Copper, my travels and the recent loss of my husband means that Copper spends more time than he should at a kennel while I'm away.

Copper will be adopted through Aussie Rescue in AZ, but any and all questions will come directly to me since I know Copper so well. If Copper seems like a fit with your family and lifestyle, you can proceed with Alice's adoption application process. I know that Aussie Rescue is very conscientious about the homes the dogs are placed in and I wouldn't feel comfortable unless I knew he was going to a good home that will follow up on his progress.

7-6-08: We were surrendered to The Pet Placement Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee because Red Tri's DON'T sell. Yeah, you heard that right...our only fault is our beautiful coloring! Miss Lee, Director of The Pet Placement Center was gracious enough to take us in and help to find us our forever homes. We are a crew of six, but one of us was lucky enough to find his forever family already. The remaining 5 of us are being taken care of by Jocelyn, an Aussie lover who we look forward to seeing...she even has Aussies of her own, so she knows all about us :-)

CHOPIE

Liz Potof needs to find a new (wonderful) home for one of her dogs. Liz has several dogs, but this one just can't get along with one of the other ones. It's probably that "territorial" thing.

His name is "Chopie" and he's a pure bred Australian Shepherd (Red Tri), who's just as cute as can be. He's 8 years old, neutered and basically a mild-mannered dog. He walks on a leash, loves car rides, people and kids ... we don't know about cats. Chopie is up to date on his shots, and he had his vet check just last week and came up with a gold star. He just needs a different home with the perfect person.
